Quick Details
Go on a private game drive safari in the most biologically diverse park in Botswana.
Getting into the park early increases your chances of seeing lions and other wildlife that are less active in the heat of the day.
The game drive into Chobe National Park starts as the gates open at 6 am.
Your driver is a professional guide with extensive knowledge on the park and its inhabitants. The park is especially known for its massive elephant population, huge array of bird species, and big cats such as lions and leopards. You discover some of the park’s distinct ecosystems with dense woodland, extensive savannahs, and rolling grasslands while travelling along the Caprivi flood plains. As this is a private game drive you can ask your guide to tailor your trip towards specific birdlife or wildlife if you like.

After the game drive, lunch is served at a hotel on the riverbank before gliding along the Chobe River on a river cruise. This gives you ample opportunity to enjoy the gorgeous river scenery and extraordinarily close views of lots of animals, including elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and birdlife.

You’re picked up from your hotel at 6:30 am to go to Botswana. While in Kasane, game drives are the most popular activity for most travellers that like to get outdoors. The drive from Victoria Falls to Chobe National Park is just over an hour, where you have the privilege of going into a park with one of the largest concentrations of game in Africa. Although it is only the third largest park in the country, it is the most biologically diverse, and Botswana’s first national park. The park is known for its elephant populations which has built up from a few thousand to over 50,000 and is considered the highest elephant concentration in Africa.
You’re picked up from your lodge or hotel within Kasane to travel to the Chobe National Park and pick-up times depend on the location of your hotel or lodge as we aim to be at the gates by 6 am. Please remember to bring US$10 for entry into the park. The game drive will be done in a custom built 4×4 safari vehicle, with open sides which offer exceptional views, and you are in safe hands with a qualified safari guide who drives you through the park. This Botswana game drive is a fantastic opportunity for photographers to capture wildlife in a stunning landscape.
As it is a private tour, you are welcome to ask your guide to go searching for certain birdlife, wildlife, or unique areas within the park.
After the game drive, a buffet lunch is served at a hotel where you have the opportunity to relax before heading out on a cruise. You join others on a specially-adapted boat to glide along the river, through the exclusive islands that provide a haven for bird and wildlife. This will give you ample opportunity to enjoy the gorgeous river scenery and extraordinarily close views of lots of animals, including elephants, hippos, crocodiles and birdlife.
