Getting into the park early increases your chances of seeing lions and other wildlife that are less active in the heat of the day. The game drive into Chobe National Park starts as the gates open at 6 am. Your driver is a professional guide with extensive knowledge on the park and its inhabitants. The park is especially known for its massive elephant population, huge array of bird species, and big cats such as lions and leopards.

Discover some of the park’s distinct ecosystems with dense woodland, extensive Savannah, and rolling grasslands while travelling along the Caprivi flood plains. As this is a private game drive, you can ask your guide to tailor your trip towards specific bird life or wildlife if you like.

Botswana Safari Details

While in Kasane, game drives are the most popular activity for most travellers that like to get outdoors. The drive from Kasane to Chobe National Park is less than 10 minutes, where you have the privilege of going into a park with one of the largest concentrations of game in Africa. Although it is only the third largest park in the country, it is the most biologically diverse, and Botswana’s first national park. The park is known for its elephant populations which has built up from a few thousand to over 50,000 and is considered the highest elephant concentration in Africa.

On this activity, you’re picked up from your lodge or hotel within Kasane to travel to the Chobe National Park. Pick-up times depend on the location of your hotel or lodge as we aim to be at the gates by 6 am. Please remember to bring US$10 for entry into the park. The game drive is done in a custom built 4×4 safari vehicle, with open sides which offer exceptional views. You are in safe hands with a qualified safari guide who drives you through the park. With the guide’s local experience and knowledge you learn of the parks distinct ecosystem and it diverse range of animals.

This is a fantastic opportunity for photographers to capture wildlife in a stunning landscape. As it is a private game drive you are welcome to ask your guide to go searching for certain bird life, wildlife, or unique areas within the park. The Chobe National Park game drive ends by 12 pm when you return back to your lodge within Kasane. Special arrangements can be made if you are living outside of Kasane, such as Victoria Falls.
