Day 1: Arrival and Sunset Cruise
Once you arrive at Victoria Falls International Airport (VFA), you’re picked up and transferred to your place of accommodation. There, Tamuka Travel helps you check in to your hotel. It is important that you let them know your flight details beforehand, as the collection time depends on the arrival time of your flight. At 4 pm, you meet with your driver guide for a pick up to the sundowner cruise or as some call it, the booze cruise.
On this Victoria Falls cruise, you sail up the mighty Zambezi River as the sun goes down, so you can immerse yourself in the natural delights of the golden Zimbabwean sunset as you observe birds flocking to the waters and watch animal locals arrive for their last drink of the day. All of this happens while enjoying tasty finger foods and a full open bar to wrap up day one.
Day 2: Guided Tour of the Falls, Helicopter flight and Half day tour to Zambia
Day two commences with a morning pick-up from the hotel reception for a guided tour of Victoria Falls. The entrance fee for Victoria Falls is $30 USD for Southern African Development Community (SADC) and $50 USD for international travelers. It is an experience that sees you venturing to the cliffs across from the colossal waterfall via the ambient Victoria Falls rainforest. Here, you get a stunning view of the main falls as you watch the wrathful Zambezi River waters crash into the Batoka Gorge below. It is a spectacle that you will not soon forget.
Let the flight tell its story. You experience the unrivaled view of the majestic Victoria Falls, the mighty Zambezi, all its wildlife, and see first-hand Victoria Falls and all its beauty as one with the 15-minute flight over the falls. Study the topography of the surrounding areas and experience the beauty and depths of the Batoka Gorge.
The half-day tour gives you an insight into the town of Livingstone which was once the capital of Northern Rhodesia until 1935 with its rich, colonial history. At the museum, Zambia’s oldest and largest museum, you can learn about Zambia’s cultural and natural heritage. The museum also holds the largest collection of Dr David Livingstone memorabilia.
Day 3: Full Day Chobe Trip in Kasane, Botswana
This tour departs from Victoria Falls to the Chobe National Park in Botswana. You’re transferred to the Kazungula border where your Botswana guide meets you. From there, you proceed straight to the River where you spend the morning game viewing along the Chobe River. Tea, coffee, and biscuits are provided. The morning cruise ends at around 12:30 and you’re then taken to a hotel on the riverbank for lunch. After lunch, you board safari vehicles for an afternoon game drive in the Chobe National Park where they have the opportunity to enjoy an abundance of wildlife. After the game drive, they are taken back to the Kazungula Border where they are met by their Zimbabwean guide for their return transfer to Victoria Falls, arriving at approximately 16:30.
Day 4: Departure day
You will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to Victoria Falls International Airport (VFA).
Please note: Due to the previous night’s sightings, the order of the activities might be changed, i.e. start with a game drive and finish with the boat cruise.
